Wilary Winn continues to grow rapidly and the firm offers our financial analysts the opportunity to work on engagements that are at the forefront of issues in the financial services industry, including mergers and acquisitions, valuation of illiquid financial instruments and asset liability management.

Founded in 2003, Wilary Winn has grown rapidly and now has more than 500 financial institution clients in 49 states. Our clients include 60 publicly traded banks and 39 of the nation’s top 100 credit unions. Our primary competitors are based in New York and this position provides an opportunity to deal with some of the financial industry's most complex issues from our offices in St. Paul.

Our financial analysts work with state-of-the-art technology including Bloomberg, Intex, Black Book, SNL Financial, ZM Financial Systems, Inc., and our proprietary cash flow engines.

Our advice is centered on practice, not theory.

We are very intentional as to the valuations we are willing and unwilling to undertake.  Our strengths are based on our previous work in asset-backed securitization and we use state-of-the-art discounted cash flow models to perform our work.  We have spent years developing and testing our valuation inputs and we are a national leader in many of our service offerings including fair value advice related to credit union mergers, as well as valuing non-Agency MBS, servicing rights, and pooled trust preferred CDOs.  We have leveraged this knowledge into our ALM business line and we are perceived as a leading edge and state-of-the art provider.

Because we have incorporated bottom up credit modeling into our services, we can offer capital stress testing, concentration analyses, and fully compliant CECL calculations.  We believe these engagements represent the most powerful use of our analytical models.

We are also experts regarding the accounting and regulatory rules related to fair value and have recently led seminars on the subject for many of the country's largest public accounting firms, the AICPA, the FDIC, the FFIEC, and the NCUA. We also developed an accounting and regulatory guide about the Federal Home Loan Banks Mortgage Partnership Finance® (MPF®) program now in its ninth printing.
